This small wooden classic yacht was designed in 1926 for the Royal Danish Yacht Club for training. The club asked the Swedish designer Eric Salander to design an affordable day sailor. The result was the KDY junior 15 square meters. The class became popular in Denmark, Sweden, Germany as well in Holland. These little boats have remarkable capabilities, several have sailed from Copenhagen to Norway and across to England. This example is in showroom condition, build in 1964. By Wester shipyard. She was found in a barn stored for more than 30 years After that she has got a total professional refit and get a new pine deck and all mahogany wood finished with a new clear varnish system. Mast and rigging with an easy lowering system. New sails 2021. Popular in Denmark and Germany also in competition. This Class is economic, lightweight, easily trailed and launched, and suitable for youngsters and adults to sail.
