RIVER CLASS National Dutch class
Designed by H. Meier, winner of a contest by the KNWV (Royal Dutch Watersport Association) in 1948, this lapstrake mahogany day sailor is built on oak frames with a plywood deck, featuring a mahogany cockpit and cabin. The boat was chosen for its elegant lines and excellent sailing capabilities.
This design was built in two versions: one with a fixed sprayhood and one with a small cabin that sleeps two, making it ideal for weekend trips or holidays. The boat is in excellent condition, having been meticulously maintained. Recent updates include a renewed epoxy-covered deck, new rudder, keel bolts, paint system, and a Harken foresail furling system. It also boasts a nearly new set of sails and a newly built-in Tohatsu 4-stroke outboard engine.
A keelboat trailer for winter storage is included. This special edition of the River Class is perfect for single-handed sailing. A must-see for true wooden boat enthusiasts.
