Danish Folk Boat Junior ‘Windeskind’
This modestly sized wooden classic yacht was designed in 1926 for the Royal Danish Yacht Club for training. The club asked Swedish designer Eric Salander to design an affordable day sailer. The result was the KDY junior 15 square meter. The class became popular in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and in Holland. These little boats have remarkable capabilities, several have sailed from Copenhagen to Norway and across to England.
This boat is in mint condition, it was built in 1955 by Wester shipyard. She was found in a barn stored for more than 18 years, before which she had undergone a total professional refit. She has got an extra main frame and is now in competition condition with all over Harken gear, removable traveller, underdeck furling system and complete set of hood sails as new. Winner of the Dutch Classic Yacht regatta 2005.
Includes road trailer and Honda 2 HP four stroke outboard engine in prime condition. Popular in Denmark and Germany for both recreative sailing as in competition.
